For Home Buyers - Potts Hill Consultation

Potts Hill Consultation

Landcom and Sydney Water want to make sure that the redevelopment at Potts Hill will enrich and enhance the community and are committed to consulting with residents, community groups, and local agencies about the redevelopment.

A consultation program was undertaken during preparation of the Potts Hill Concept Plan and this involved consultation with the community, government agencies and other stakeholders. Much useful feedback was received from stakeholders on key issues such as the protection of local flora and fauna, traffic and transport, safety and security.

Landcom and Sydney Water distribute the ‘Potts Hill community update’ newsletter to local residents to keep them informed about the project. A copy of this newsletter is available from the downloads page of this site.

Landcom is now preparing more detailed plans for the residential development in the western precinct of the site. A project application will be prepared and submitted to the NSW Department of Planning for assessment. The project application will include details of:

  • Environmental and vegetation management.
  • Potential construction, traffic and stormwater impacts and mitigation measures.
  • Initiatives for heritage conservation and interpretation.
  • Initiatives for the provision of affordable housing.
  • The design and layout of the residential precinct and housing types.

Landcom expects that the detailed plans for the residential development will go on public display for review and comment in late 2009. Details of the public display period will appear on this page including how you can make a submission and have your say.
